It’s no secret that I wasn’t celebrating when Donald Trump won the GOP nomination for President, and it’s definitely no secret I didn’t vote for him.
It wasn’t because of his alleged misogyny, racism, xenophobia, or any other shit grenade the left has thrown at him. For the record, I don’t think he’s any of those things. I think he’s injudicious in his use of language, and has very little understanding of the nuanced issues involved in our national security, economic, and foreign policy.
But all that is not the point.
Donald J. Trump won the 2016 election. He gained the electoral votes necessary to become the next President of the United States, and now it’s up to him to live up to that honor.
For the record, I hope he succeeds.
Why? Because I’m an adult.
Because for the good of the country I love, I hope he does better – MUCH better – than I think he will. I hope he gains an understanding of diplomacy, the Constitution, national defense, and our military. I hope he is judicious in his use of military force, and I hope he begins to trust the dedicated, passionate intelligence professionals who work for him.
Because I’m an adult, if he does a good job during his first term, I will absolutely admit I was wrong about him and will vote for him if he runs again. My vote has to be earned. I hope he does so.
Because I’m an adult, and I love my country.
Yesterday, I excoriated the hysterical left for their frothing, lunatic hatred for the President-elect and their refusal to accept that he won the election fairly, their attempts to install Shrillary in the White House at any cost, and the mental gymnastics and contortions in which they engaged to invalidate and smear him.
Today, I’m going to focus my ire on the Trumpanzees – not the normal Trump supporters, or those who voted for him merely to keep the C-Hag out of the White House – but the smirking, shit-flinging chimps who think Trump can do no wrong, claim that any criticism of their deity means you’re a Hillary supporter, and insist on doing their smarmy little happy dance by rubbing their “victory” in the faces of the #nevertrumpers (those who chose not to vote for Trump), chortling about us eating crow or gnashing our teeth in bitter angst.
These are the same puerile shit swaddlers who called those of us who are ostensibly ideological allies “idiots” and “tacit Hillary supporters,” due to our refusal to worship at the altar of Trump. Any criticism or refusal to cast a vote in his direction was met with derision and the math-challenged claim that a vote for anyone other than Trump meant a vote for Hillary.
These cock burglars point their gigantic, unwarranted schadenboners in our direction, as they project their own lack of maturity on conservatives who made the very rational choice to not vote for the President-elect in the general election.
“I can hear nevertrumpers grinding their teeth as they scarf down bite after bitter bite of crow, and that’s almost as delicious.”
“Crow. Eat it. Think about how this happened. Maybe, just maybe, even learn a lesson. (As if.)”
“The #NeverTrump crowd is still a nuisance, and still wrong.”
“Frankly, these #NeverTrump people are essentially NeverAmerica.”
“Some Republicans are STILL #NeverTrump purity testers. What a lonely pathetic existence.”
“All I can say to the remaining #NeverTrump’ers is, we’ll send you a postcard from the winner’s circle, losers.”
For the record, every single conservative or libertarian-leaning Republican I know who refused to vote for Trump (I’m sure there are a few unhinged loons out there, but I don’t hang out with them) is either in “wait and see” mode, or is actively hoping for a successful four years.
For the record, every single conservative or libertarian-leaning Republican I know who remained part of the #nevertrump movement, has accepted that he won fairly and hopes for the best. No one is pitching tantrums, or clutching their pearls.
The only people sensing teeth gnashing and crow consumption from conservatives and libertarian-leaning Republicans are the Trumpanzees, who are obviously projecting their own lack of maturity onto others. They want so badly to rub their victory into the faces of everyone who has ever opposed their Orange Savior, that they’re alienating those with whom they for the most part agree.
They’re like that nerdy kid, who has decided to get even with those he believes wronged him in high school. So there he is – at the high school reunion, dropping trou and doing the helicopter dick dance to show those snotty chicks from high school who wouldn’t give him the time of day what a monster schlong he has, but in reality, he’s just bared his insignificant giblets in a room full of adults who have let go of their bitter high school slights and just want to catch up, dance, and have a few drinks.
Here’s a bit of advice for the Trumpanzees: grow up and get over yourselves. Realize that he is not perfect and will make mistakes, for which you have to be objective and courageous enough to criticize him.
Understand that you can acknowledge that he won the election fair and square AND recognize that the Russians tried to meddle in our elections.
Understand that it is possible to not have voted for the man, AND to hope that he is a successful president, instead of spitefully hoping for failure – a failure we, as a world leader cannot afford.
And ferfuckssake, stop blindly swinging what passes for dicks in your world, and be as vigilant as you were the past eight years with a Democrat in office, by holding your government officials accountable, no matter what political party happens to inhabit the White House!
So… the Democrats helped choose Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the 2016 election – the one they thought would be the weakest of the lot.
Hillary Clinton proceeded to get trounced – whether it’s because of her issues with mishandling classified information, her apparent health issues, her cheating Bernie Sanders out of a fair fight, the FBI investigation, low turnout, her obvious disdain for states such as Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and those miserable low class wretches she looked down upon, the Russians, the French, the Martians, the Hufflepuffs, vampires, dragons, whatever – face it, she lost.
Then came Jill Stein’s
recount efforts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania fleecing of gullible ignorami, who hoped to overturn the results of the November 8th election, out of millions of dollars that resulted in the exposure of massive voter irregularities in Detroit.
There was gnashing of teeth and massive calls for the elimination of the electoral college. Because what we REALLY need is populous, states running roughshod over everyone else when electing this country’s leadership. What we REALLY need is politicians licking the collective taints of New York and California, and ignoring the remainder of the country.
Then there was the
bowel movement to pressure electors to turn away from Trump and “vote their conscience.” Hollywood celebutards took to their soapboxes to preach the virtues of electors shirking their obligations.
The left then tried to whine that Trump’s victory was invalid, even though the revelations about the Intelligence Community’s assessments of Russian meddling in our elections did not judge that the Russians succeeded in helping Trump, did not implicate Trump or his campaign in any way, and certainly did not show that they successfully hacked any election results!
And in the end, Trump secured 304 electoral votes to officially win the 2016 election. Despite the wailing, pearl clutching, threats, and appeals from the left to the members of the Electoral College, more electors tried to defect from the Clinton camp than they did from Trump.
By my calculations, the left is somewhere between the bargaining and acceptance stages of grief. They seem to have accepted the inevitable – Donald Trump will be our new President – but they’re still floundering, twisting, spinning, and acting like pouting children in an attempt to tarnish Trump’s victory as somehow invalid.
He doesn’t have a mandate. He’s not popular. The
New York Times Old Grey Hag reports his Electoral College victory is one of the lowest ranking (46th) in the last 58 elections!
They can’t just accept the fact that Cankles lost. They can’t accept the fact that they had the weakest candidate possible – a candidate that was defeated by a narcissistic, braying jackass, with zero knowledge of national security, the military, foreign and economic policy, or the Constitution. A candidate that the Democrats essentially hand picked to face Queen Pantsuit, because they thought she had the best chance to win against him.
So now that their every effort to install Hillary Clinton in the White House has failed, they’re soothing their abraded anuses by bringing up how unpopular Donald Trump was compared to other Presidents.
OK, I haven’t been a Trump fan, and I didn’t vote for him, but guess what! He’s still going to be President, and Hillary is still going home an epic fail who lost the election despite having every advantage.
Your every effort to thwart a fair victory of a candidate of whom you do not approve, paints you as sore losers with zero self awareness, zero recognition of just how bad your establishment-installed candidate really was, and zero understanding of just how your snotty accusations of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, and every other vile thing toward your fellow Americans helped put the very candidate you despise over the top.
He may have one of the lowest ranked Electoral College victories in our history, but it’s still a victory over the cackling shrew you hoped to bring to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
And if you’re so petty, so small-minded, and spiteful that you continue to toss these duds at the President-elect, filled with nothing but trifling rhetoric merely to soothe your chafed labia, you deserve the mockery and ridicule you’re receiving now.
You’re using the
New York Times Old Grey Hag article as butt paste to soothe your raging case of Trumparrhoids.
Get over it.
The media – and by virtue every Democrat and Republican – were in a froth flecked rage over the weekend, because a CIA briefing regarding Russia’s cyber meddling in U.S. elections was leaked to the press.
The assessment – as reported by Reuters – said that “Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help President-elect Donald Trump win the White House, and not just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system.”
Citing U.S. officials briefed on the matter, the Post said intelligence agencies had identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, to WikiLeaks.
The officials described the individuals as people known to the intelligence community who were part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and reduce Clinton’s chances of winning the election.
“It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected,” the Post quoted a senior U.S. official as saying. “That’s the consensus view.”
As soon as the news came out, Trump supporters immediately went into fully defensive mode.
How do we know these reports are true?
Do all 17 intelligence agencies agree?
Are we supposed to disregard what was in those emails, because they may or may not have come from the Russians, and they probably haven’t, because MEDIA LIES!!!!11
Obama Administration lies!
This is the same CIA that assessed the presence of WMD in Iraq! (Which, by the way, many Republicans were more than happy to defend.)
WikiLeaks denies this, so it must be false! (Coming from the same people who attacked Julian Assange as a criminal and dog knows what else when he published Bradley Manning’s leaks.)
Clinton supporters worked themselves into a frenzy, because…
That means Hillary actually may have won!
Invalidate election results!
Challenge them in courts!
The Russians installed Trump in the White House!
Install Hillary in the White House using the courts! (This last bit of full retard recommendation came from none other than the Huffington Post, whose staff has apparently been eating paint chips and huffing Sharpies in an effort to get over the election.)
In the interest of accuracy and fairness, let’s examine the report.
The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, according to officials briefed on the matter.
There are two assessments here – both about Russian intent. One is that they wanted to influence the election to help Donald Trump win, and the other is that they also wanted to undermine the confidence in the U.S. electoral system. These are not surprising assessments, and there’s nothing to disbelieve here, given the Russians’ history of meddling in sovereign nations’ affairs, and threatening the sovereignty and even territorial integrity of at least one of its neighbors in the not too distant past.
Anyone remember this report (in Russian) I cited back in 2014, detailing Russian meddling in the Crimean referendum prior to its annexation? Anyone see already filled out ballots being brought in?
Note what the assessment does not say.
The assessment does not say that Russia HELPED DONALD TRUMP WIN. That would be near impossible to quantify, because the agency would have to examine reasons why Trump voters voted the way they did, and assume said voters were telling the truth about their motivations. It would also have to quantify how many Trump voters would have voted for Hillary had it not been about the Russian revelations.
The agency did not assess any of this. They made a judgment call based on existing intelligence and historical evidence about Russia’s motivations for interfering. At no time did they make an assessment on the success or failure of these efforts!
The agency also did not judge (at least not judging from the available media reports) that Trump or anyone in his campaign were complicit in these efforts or somehow colluded with Russia to steal the election.
Why haven’t they released the underlying intelligence that was evidence for this assessment?
Because it’s classified.
But the briefing was released! We want to see the underlying intelligence!
My guess is the briefing was released without authorization – probably to influence policy. If you want to see the underlying intelligence, get a clearance, join the intelligence community, work on cyber issues. No one is going to give you read access to sensitive material that may compromise sources and put lives and collection in danger, because your tinfoil hat is so tight, that you think the CIA is somehow biased against Trump, and made an assessment about him cheating his way into the White House that the CIA didn’t actually make.
The CIA presentation to senators about Russia’s intentions fell short of a formal U.S. assessment produced by all 17 intelligence agencies. A senior U.S. official said there were minor disagreements among intelligence officials about the agency’s assessment, in part because some questions remain unanswered.
Some are using this bit in the report to claim that because there is disagreement, the assessment is false/biased/an Obama Administration plot to overturn the election. The DC, in particular, ran a story yesterday claiming the FBI disagreed with CIA’s assessment.
The FBI did not corroborate the CIA’s claim that Russia had a hand in the election of President-elect Donald Trump in a meeting with lawmakers last week.
Except, according to the original report, that’s not really what the CIA assessed. They assessed the motivations for the meddling (that the Russians wanted Trump to win), not that somehow Russia HELPED Trump win, because it’s nearly impossible to assess that Russia was actually responsible for Trump’s victory. CIA was assessing Russia’s motivations and desires vis-a-vis the election. I doubt anyone can dispute the Russians’ involvement given these activities detailed in an August report in which the FBI confirmed that Russians had, indeed, been mucking around in our elections systems. But FBI, being a law enforcement agency, uses a different standard of evidence than the intelligence community, because their ultimate goal is to bring a prosecution.
Were the Russians successful in undermining Americans’ confidence in their election systems, which is the second assessment CIA made? Gallup polling in September indicated that only 62 percent of Americans had confidence in the accuracy of the vote count, but this number is similar to the polls conducted in 2008 – before revelations about active Russian meddling came to light. So it’s difficult to attribute the low confidence to the Russians. But again, the assessment wasn’t about the Russians’ success or failure, but the motivations behind their hacking activities. Big difference.
Further, the Democrats weren’t the only ones hacked, according to the FBI, although the Republican Party denies it was hacked.
A solid explanation of the differences in FBI and CIA assessments can be found here.
For example, intelligence agencies do not have specific intelligence showing officials in the Kremlin “directing” the identified individuals to pass the Democratic emails to WikiLeaks, a second senior U.S. official said. Those actors, according to the official, were “one step” removed from the Russian government, rather than government employees. Moscow has in the past used middlemen to participate in sensitive intelligence operations so it has plausible deniability.
Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has said in a television interview that the “Russian government is not the source.”
Well, gosh. Because the information would arrive at
Assange’s Ecuadorean Embassy’s doorstep stamped: FOR WIKILEAKS — WITH LOVE — FROM THE KREMLIN! Of course, Kremlin’s involvement would be several times removed! That doesn’t prove or disprove anything. It would be rather suspicious if there were obvious links to the Kremlin. That’s when I would scream that something is off, because the Russians are never this obvious!
Hopefully, this clarifies some stuff, because both sides seem to be going full turnip on this issue.
Nothing in the reports claims that the intelligence community assesses that Russia helped Trump win – only that this was the Russians’ desired outcome.
Nothing in the reports claims that either Trump or his campaign were in any way complicit in those efforts.
Nothing in the reports or the assessments claims Hillary would have won had Russia not interfered. Frankly, she was a weak candidate to begin with
And by the way, nothing in the reports indicates in any way that Russia was successful in hacking the actual RESULTS or somehow changed them in some way. Nothing.
So maybe Republicans need to stop screeching about lies and CIA conspiracies.
And maybe the Democrats need to quit wailing about how the election was ostensibly stolen from Queen Pantsuit.
And maybe – just maybe – we need to focus on the fact that Russia, in addition to its activities threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighbors, and using outright thugs to do it, trying to weaken the NATO alliance, shooting down civilian airliners, and using militants to achieve its goals of increasing its influence in the former Soviet sphere, has also been trying to wage cyber warfare against us.
If you don’t think that’s a big deal, because “we deserve it for our own meddling,” and you think that’s just fine, because ultimately your guy won, I wonder if you’d be intellectually honest enough to admit if you’d feel similarly had Hillary won.
I’d wager to say you’d be screaming bloody murder.
We’ve seen incredible classnessness from people who have spent years telling us how we should be more civil and accepting of every freakish thing they invent, and trying to compel us to do so by force.
So I get it, that after the supreme backlash against closed-minded, anti-freedom, safe space-seeking Special Snowflakes took the world by surprise, it feels pretty good to watch the wailing, pearl clutching, and gnashing of teeth on the part of the loudest of snowflakes, who were so sure their Queen was going to take the White House, that they staged epic freakouts in unhinged rage, that we feel a bit of a schadenfreude.
Hell, my schadenboner hasn’t gone flaccid for several days!
These people were so arrogant, they didn’t think for a moment that the very people they regarded that something akin to a piece of dogshit on their $3000 shoes to be rubbed off and forgotten would finally fight back.
As I said… I get it.
But at the same time, I’m pretty appalled at the behavior of some so-called conservatives, friends of mine who voted for Trump, and even my own family members.
I saw this story being circulated this morning.
EXCLUSIVE: Huma breaks down and weeps openly as she returns to campaign headquarters where she and her aides ran doomed bid to elect Hillary Clinton
The story includes some unflattering photos of Clinton aide Huma Abedin, upset and seemingly crying as she walks to her place of employment.
First of all, this is exclusive? This is news? A woman who apparently has had her life turned upside down breaks down in tears in front of her place of employment, and the blood-sucking maggots at the Daily Fail think this is a news story?
They publish this ridiculous piece, rehashing every bit of news that has surfaced around Abedin’s life – her disgusting ex-husband’s sex texts, her work for Clinton, the WikiLeaks revelations about her involvement in the Clinton Foundation – no actual journalism required. Just rehashing what everyone else has already written.
So what was the exclusive? Photos of this woman breaking down and crying as her life unravels around her.
And some of my friends have decided it was appropriate to gloat at her pain.
I’m saddened by this.
You can hate her political views. You can hate the fact that she hitched her wagon to the most corrupt engine in the United States. You can hate the fact that she stuck by Weiner through his first and second sexting scandals, and finally left him after he was caught freaking on a kid. You can dislike all this. I do. I have no love for her.
I can understand a little why she stuck with Weiner as long as she did. She had a baby with him. She had a life with him. She wanted to try and salvage it. I don’t agree with it. If Rob ever did half the shit Carlos Danger had pulled, He’d be found hanging from his toes with his balls shoved up his own ass. Huma made a different decision. I disagree with it, and that’s not the path I would have taken, but I get it.
But to revel in her pain, and roll around in it like a pig in shit? No, thanks. I’m not that person.
This is a woman whose world is basically collapsing around her. If the reports are true, Queen Pantsuit has jettisoned her “surrogate daughter.” She’s lost her career. The work she has spent a lifetime doing has blown up in her face. She’s lost her family. Her swine of an ex is in sex rehab, and will probably be going to jail (I can hope, can’t I?). She has a baby, and she’s alone.
She’s not just heartbroken, her life is broken, and I can’t help but feel some sympathy for her.
Her tragedy and misery is not a news story, and it certainly shouldn’t be a source of glee for people who disliked Hillary.
Huma Abedin is a cautionary tale. She’s made some bad decisions in her life, but is that really a reason to hate her, and to rejoice at her pain?
What the fuck kind of people are we to do that?
You hate her because she worked for Clinton?
Do you hate everyone who works in/around politicians you don’t like? Well, you’d better stop reading this blog, because I’m one of them. Oh, does that make you hate me? Will you laugh at my misfortune when it comes merely because I work for an administration you dislike? If that’s what you are, then I cordially invite you not to open this site again and further to go sodomize yourself with a rabid yak hoof dipped in mayonnaise. I don’t give a shit.
Act like human beings, people. This woman has done nothing to you, other than pick a horrible husband and the worst boss ever. Does that merit your gawping at her tears and celebrating her pain? Do you really enjoy watching someone’s life fall apart around them?
A little human compassion would be good here. We are better than the sniveling, screeching, drama queen harpies mourning the fall of their Queen and castigating all of us as trash. So act like it.
I can’t even begin to describe the drama that has been unfolding on Facebook these past couple of days!
About half my friends are either Republican or Libertarian. The other half is either liberal or downright communist. Yes, I’m friends with all kinds of people, and generally we get along just fine despite our political differences.
There are some who act like adults. No, they’re not happy with the election results, but they’re engaging with their conservative friends to understand why the results were what they were. They’re asking questions. They’re engaging in some introspection. They’re acting like adults.
“Trump’s victory is proof that our election system is not rigged. He won fairly – and in spite of significant disadvantages,” said one friend.
Another honestly wanted to know WHAT the appeal was, needing a way to see Trump as more than just “Hitler rising to power.” (And yes, I pointed out the errors in reasoning.)
I sat my folks down yesterday and explained to them that despite being unhappy with the election results, there will be times in their government careers when they will work for an administration whose head they did not vote for. I explained to them that they were the brightest, most dedicated group of professionals I have ever had the honor of working with and leading – that they care more about what they do and the future and security of our country than any government employees I’ve ever seen! I told them they were dedicated and brilliant, and that what they do when the transition team lands Monday will help set the tone for the relationship this administration has with our community for what could be as long as eight years.
They took my speech to heart, because they’re adults.
On the other side of the spectrum, we have the drama queens who sniveled and whined about the “dark times.”
“What will we tell our daughters?”
“My children are terrified!”
“My daughter spent the night in tears last night!”
“We are returning to an era of hate and racism!”
“Homophobia! My gay daughter cried all day!”
“My trans friend wants to commit suicide!”
They refuse to even consider that perhaps listening to the other side every once in a while is wise, and that maybe their friends aren’t the RACISTHOMOPHOBICMISOGYNIST monsters they believe all Trump supporters to be.
There are calls for revolution (yeah, most of you assholes hate guns, so good luck with that), violence, assassinations, and murder.
Some are actually acting on it!
If you need proof of the burning stupid, read Wednesday night’s post.
The most heartbreaking of the lot, however are the stories about the children.
And of course, the media is flogging those like a cheap dominatrix.
With ardent support from hysterical parents, the narrative is now that Trump supporters hate Mexican children, and will send them back to Mexico in cattle cars.
“What will I tell my children?”
“I’m scared for my children!”
“My children are frightened!”
You know why they’re frightened?
Because in your froth-flecked zeal to paint Trump and his supporters as odious as possible, you’ve scared the shit out of them!
Because, some among you are so desperate to promote the “racism” message, you go as far as to file false reports to police about evil Trump supporters attacking your Muslimness!
A Muslim woman in Louisiana who told police she was attacked with a metal object and robbed of her headscarf and wallet by two men wearing Donald Trump clothing just hours after Trump was elected president admitted to police today that she made it up, Lafayette police told ABC News.
You tell them lies about your fellow Americans.
You whip them into a panic about their future.
You froth and despair about the future of our nation because someone you don’t like got elected and tell your children how awful things are, instead of simply telling them that in their lifetimes there will be times when someone for whom they did not vote will become president.
You irrationally demand impeachment and the end to the electoral college, because someone you did not support won the election!
You know why your children are scared, you whining ignorami? Because YOU are scaring them. Yes. You.
It’s YOUR refusal to be a grownup and a parent and provide rational guidance rather than foolish histrionics that is scaring them, and will eventually facilitate their development into swooning members of participation trophy-hoarding Generation Cupcake!
It’s YOUR failure as a parent and as a role model that’s frightening them, and YOUR refusal to provide objective direction that’s giving them angst, because apparently you’d rather impose your irrational hatred of your fellow Americans on them than guide them through challenging times.
It’s YOUR inability to provide impartial, balanced narrative, because you’re so busy projecting your utter hatred, that is scaring your gay kids, who thanks to your histrionics about Trump’s alleged “homophobia and transphobia,” don’t even know that despite Trump’s significant faults, he was vocal in his support of transgender individuals using whatever bathrooms they felt appropriate during a time when the issue was at its contentious height, and put his money where his mouth was.
It’s YOUR inability to discuss real issues, rather than focus on vagina politics, it’s YOUR ineptitude at objectivity and failure to admit that it wasn’t sexism or misogyny that tanked Hillary Clinton, but rather the fact that she was a venal, corrupt, entitled, dishonest cheater who looked down her nose for years at the same people who handed Trump his victory.
If you want to know why your children are scared, upset, and angry, you have only to look in the mirror and your failure to adult as the reason.
Trump is hardly the perfect candidate. He wasn’t even a good candidate! I will even go as far as to say that he was a terrible candidate, and I have said so often on this site.
But you know what? He won. He will be President. And it’s your duty as a parent to make your kids understand what the duties and limitations of the office are, what they must do and learn to work hard and help a victory next time, if that’s what they want, and that there will be people in this country who have different opinions from you – and their voices count just as much as yours. Teach them how government works to allay their irrational fears – after you learn it yourselves.
Acting like a petulant child in front of your kids breeds just the type of screeching, entitled, safe-space seeking Snowflakes whose mercenary attempts to shut down and destroy the opposition’s right to a voice, instead of engaging them (ostensibly because life is hard when you’re offended by everything) ensured the backlash that resulted in a Trump presidency.
As Barack Obama told Republicans a few years back, he won. “Deal with it.”
And stop scaring your kids!
