Some decency, please!

I didn’t watch 45’s speech to the joint session of Congress last night, not because I was boycotting it, but because husband, buddy, and I went and grabbed some dinner. Service was a little slow, so by the time we got home, I saw the last maybe 15 minutes of it.

I won’t get into content too much. I heard him say “…based on our very strong and frank discussions,” NATO partners are beginning to meet their financial obligations. I shook my head a bit at him taking credit for this, considering former secretary Bob Gates in 2011 delivered a much more stringent message to our NATO allies before he left office about their defense burdens and the need to increase defense spending.

“The blunt reality is that there will be dwindling appetite and patience in the U.S. Congress, and in the American body politic writ large, to expend increasingly precious funds on behalf of nations that are apparently unwilling to devote the necessary resources … to be serious and capable partners in their own defense,” he said in an address to a think tank in Brussels.

The NATO defense burden of 2 percent of GDP is a benchmark. It’s a recommendation that only five partners so far are meeting – the United States, Estonia, Poland, Greece, and the UK – but it’s not a requirement, and most allies haven’t met that benchmark in decades, despite previous promises to do so.

But let’s put that aside, because that’s not what I want to discuss today. I’ve read the transcript. It’s surprisingly… presidential. Pleasantly so. I find myself agreeing with Van Jones – VAN FUCKING JONES – when he lauded Trump and conceded that “he became President of the United States in that moment – the moment he honored the widow of a slain Navy SEAL, who was in the audience last night. I agree with Van Jones. Mark this one in your calendars, boys and girls. It doesn’t happen often.

Look, I’m not one of those frothing jackasses who believes that losing a loved one in battle automatically affords one moral authority. (See: Cindy Sheehan) But I do believe being a Gold Star family member at the very least entitles one to some decency from one’s fellow humans.

Apparently, that’s just too much to ask for.

As Congress stood and applauded Carryn Owens for several minutes, and as she was moved to tears by the respect and love shown to her in that chamber last night, there were – as usual – a few hysterical, deranged, filthy colostomy bags who took it upon themselves to spew hate during a moment that, by all standards of decency should have been a bipartisan one.

schultzDebbie Wasserman-Schultz, who looked like someone was giving her an atomic wedgie laced with hot tar and ground glass during the impromptu tribute to Carryn Owens, and Keith Ellison, who sat frozen, as if he sharted and couldn’t move for fear of it seeping out of his pants, were two notable Democrats who refused to look at the widow, let alone stand up or applaud.

(Note: There’s been some controversy/doubt over whether Wasserman-Schultz and Ellison remained sitting, whether they stood initially, but didn’t stand the entire time, and whether the screen cap here is of the same moment. Snopes claims it’s false based on a screen shot from the White House webside, which shows both did stand at some point, but I did not see either one applaud, even as they turned toward Owens.)

Other usual suspects screeched on social media about Trump using a Gold Star widow for his “agenda,” because dog forbid the President of the United States acknowledge a woman who lost the man she loved just a few weeks ago in a military operation that is ultimately the responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief! It couldn’t possibly be genuine. It couldn’t possibly be heartfelt. Because TrumpHitler literally has no feelings!

griloBut one fucktastic cockbite went a step further and attacked Carryn Owens herself, claiming she was “clapping like an idiot,” because you know… she’s obviously too stupid to see that she’s being used by the Manchurian Cheeto. This is a woman who lost her husband a few weeks ago. She was applauding in recognition of her love. She was applauding in acknowledgment of the heartfelt condolences she was receiving from the floor. She was applauding in gratitude for the time she had with him and the appreciation and love she no doubt felt from all present.

But no. Dan Grilo, whose Twitter account has since gone the way of the dodo, and whose page on his employer’s site has also been deleted, decided to denigrate Carryn Owens as an idiot for not recognizing what he, Dan Grilo of the superior intellect, immediately saw – that Trump was using her!

The reaction from Twitter was swift and vicious.

Grilo tried to walk back his statement as a “poorly worded tweet” instead of acknowledging that he acted like a vicious, contemptible, vile, deranged fuck weasel. He tried to claim how “moved” he was by all the comments (moved like when one ingests too many Haribo sugar-free gummy bears), but in the end, he locked his account (Brave move, Danny boy! Viciously attack a Gold Star widow, and then run away.), and then deleted it. His profile page on his employer’s site has also been taken down.

Maybe Grilo wasn’t as bright as he thought he was. Maybe he thought “poorly worded” = noxious, mean-spirited, and cruel. Maybe he didn’t consider that his words had consequences. Or maybe… he’s just a dick.

He certainly forgot just how unforgiving the Internet is.

Reasons don’t matter. Actions do. There may be mitigating circumstances, but I can’t see one here.

How can one be so deranged, so unhinged, and so filled with noxious bile that they would publicly attack a grieving widow?

Yes, you can disagree with 45 all you want. You can dislike him. You can criticize his speech, his mannerisms, his policies, his background, his hair, his orange tint… whatever. That is your right as Americans.

But to behave like malevolent, steaming turd toward a fellow human being who has just experienced an agonizing, unimaginable loss, makes you an execrable bag of rancid effluvia. If you can’t even put your political biases aside long enough to refrain from senselessly and maliciously attacking a grieving woman, you might be a paunchy, odious troll, who was stupid enough to think that using his work headers on his Twitter account would amuse his employer.

If nothing else, Carryn Owens deserves some human decency. This hate-consumed bag of shit-covered dicks couldn’t even manage that.

And by the way, friends on the left, if you think this type of behavior will endear you to the rest of America, you obviously haven’t learned your lessons from this last election.

UPDATE: Looks like this dildo no longer has a job.

Democrat “Sit-In” – too much stupid for one week!

Well, if you haven’t heard already, the Democrats have been staging a sit-in at the US House of Representatives, which has been going on since yesterday, and today turned into utter dumbassery on the House floor.

A Democratic protest demanding votes on gun-control legislation led to pandemonium in the House chamber that did not end until early Thursday, when Speaker Paul D. Ryan and his fellow Republicans reclaimed control long enough to force through a major spending bill. They then abruptly adjourned and the Republicans left the Capitol.

Furious Democrats remained on the House floor, where they huddled around their leader, Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, who praised their stand as a “discussion heard around the world.”

There’s so much stupid going on with this, I thought I’d helpfully help y’all rack and stack it.

idiotsFirst – We have Rep. John Lewis, whom all the media outlets are hailing as a hero and a civil rights legend, leading a bunch of short bus-riding, window-licking Democrats in protest to demand votes on gun control legislation. I find it ironic that a man who has spent his life fighting for civil rights is now leading a protest against them. When liberal stalwarts like the ACLU, Slate, and Gawker (GAWKER, ferfuckssake!) are calling this protest ill-advised, stupid, and infringing on the rights of Americans, perhaps it’s time to listen.

However, drama is more important, as witnessed by Pelosi’s praise of the ridiculous grandstanding above, which leads me to my second point.

Second – These Democrats, according to my friend Amy Ridenour, who knows way more about this stuff than I do, can get a vote on any bill any time they want by getting a discharge petition signed by a majority of members of the House. If they can’t get a majority of members to sign the petition, they can’t win anyway, so why bother?

Third – After hysterically accusing the Republicans of wanting to sell guns to ISIS, merely because they didn’t want to deprive Americans of due process by placing them on secret lists that would infringe on their civil rights, dipshit Democrats engaged in a bit more hyperbole by accusing NRA’s Cam Edwards of comparing John Lewis to a terrorist.  Of course, it’s not even close to the truth. I know Cam, and nothing that stupid could ever fly out of his mouth or keyboard. What he did, actually, say is that Democrats are not abiding by House rules, much like criminals and terrorists don’t abide by gun control laws.

But that hasn’t stopped the histrionics, because it’s newsworthy to accuse a respected pro-gun personality, who happens to be one hell of a nice guy, of denigrating a civil rights legend.

Cam obviously did no such thing, but you know who did accuse John Lewis of being a terrorist? I’ll give you one guess, because John Lewis was on the government’s terrorist watchlist himself, according to CNN.

Rep. John Lewis, D – Georgia, a nine-term congressman famous for his civil rights work with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., has been stopped 35 to 40 times over the past year, his office said.

[…]

Lewis contacted the Department of Transportation, the Department of Homeland Security and executives at various airlines in a so-far fruitless effort to get his name off the list, said spokeswoman Brenda Jones.

Instead, Lewis got a letter from the Transportation Security Administration that he can present to ticket agents indicating he has cleared an identity check with the agency. But the letter warns he might still be subject to extra security checks before being allowed to fly.

But we’re not allowed to talk about that, so shut up, racist!

Fourth – Celebutards with less knowledge about firearms than toddlers have decided to put their full ignorance on display. Witness the shitslurpery of one sports writer Jason La Canfora, who, like many celebutards knows exactly jack and shit about the difference between automatic and semi-automatic weapons.

After a Twitter user called him on his error, La Canfora doubled down on the stupid. He claimed that “pig nra lobbyist have brainwashed people like u into thinking military-grade death tools are a C right.” (Just a bit of reading might have informed him that’s exactly what they are, but I digress.) Then, when corrected, he proceeded to tweet out what has to be the dumbest thing I’ve read on the Internet this year!

dumbass

He kind of looks like an older version of Pajama Boy! “I don’t have to listen to facts, because facts are an NRA construct! Right, mommy?”

Yes, he really did actually say this! This is no joke. This walking case of malodorous vaginosis actually claimed that facts are “NRA buzzwords” and that he will use whatever wrong terminology he wants, because NRA BAD!

Other celebrities, who should know better, such as George Takei took to Twitter to demand that American’s Fifth Amendment rights be violated.

Other Hollywood types just don’t seem to understand the danger this bill poses to every American. but this bill would disproportionately impact the very people they claim face suspicion and extra scrutiny: Middle Easterners, Muslims, Africans. They are the ones more under suspicion than most!

The ACLU, which loves the idea of sticking it to the Second Amendment and infringing on our right to keep and bear arms, said it opposes this legislation.

Our nation’s watchlisting system is error-prone and unreliable because it uses vague and overbroad criteria and secret evidence to place individuals on blacklists without a meaningful process to correct government error and clear their names.

The government contends that it can place Americans on the No Fly List who have never been charged let alone convicted of a crime, on the basis of prediction that they nevertheless pose a threat (which is undefined) of conduct that the government concedes “may or may not occur.” Criteria like these guarantee a high risk of error and it is imperative that the watchlisting system include due process safeguards—which it does not. In the context of the No Fly List, for example, the government refuses to provide even Americans who know they are on the List with the full reasons for the placement, the basis for those reasons, and a hearing before a neutral decision-maker.

Now that the whining and gnashing of teeth is over, the Twitter hashtag #nobillnobreak is still abuzz with stupid, screeching how Lewis and his fellow petulant toddlers are heroes, advocating that Congress should physically be prevented from leaving until they vote, and thanking the Democrats for 25 hours of kabuki theater that was all over because apparently they got nowhere, and the cameras were turned off anyway.

That's called sitting-in in style!

That’s called sitting-in in style!

Or maybe the buffet ran out of food.

Frankly, I think this was a YUGE success. After stamping their little feet, holding their collective breath, screaming for their cookie, and pounding their itty bitty fists, the only thing these whiners accomplished was to prompt House Speaker Paul Ryan to grow some balls.

But on legislative business, it was Mr. Ryan who prevailed. He personally reclaimed control of the House, pounding his gavel and muscling through a major appropriations bill that included funding for combating the Zika virus, without debate.

He and the Republicans, who hold the majority, then declared the House adjourned with no votes until after the Fourth of July holiday.

This little attention-whoring stunt demonstrated one thing: the stupidity, statism, and surliness of gun grabbers when they don’t get their way.

Mike Webb and the first rule of holes

firstruleofholesOne has to wonder how – after supposedly a couple of decades in the military – Congressional candidate “Fappin'” Mike Webb hasn’t learned the first rule of holes. After all, if one is caught doing something silly or embarrassing, logic would dictate one would not want to bring additional attention to said event, but rather shrug it off and move on.

The appropriate response to the faptastic fiasco of the pr0n tabs would have been, “Yep, I watch pr0n and spank my monkey. So does the majority of you dimwits. I should have learned to crop my screen caps, but hey, we all make mistakes. Moving on…”

But no…

Mike Webb is never one to admit defeat, take responsibility for his actions, or give up the fight.

First, he allowed the pr0n tab post to remain on his official (if you can call it that) Congressional campaign page for at least seven hours, allowing thousands of comments to accumulate.

Then, he followed up that fappery with a 2000+ word screed, claiming he was merely testing the pr0n sites for viruses and somehow implying that my husband Rob, the GOP nominee for the 8th District Congressional seat, and some other party leaders in the county were responsible for the viral load (pun intended) on his computer.

Then, he gave the Internet a virtual slug in the shoulder, delusionally thanking it for the “love and support,” as if the netizens were merely doing a buddy check, and all was clear! And in typical Webb style, the rambling included a bunch of Bible verses and a mindnumbingly weird allusion to leadership, implying that somehow he was one.

Lessons affirmed today include that we do expect our leaders to be examples of our highest ideals, but also, as we have seen for almost a year in non-traditional length posts, people are interested and motivated by truth and substance, not flash or even scandal.

Given the thousands of comments mocking and ridiculing his rambling screeds and his inability to admit anything was wrong, I find this particularly amusing. No one is your “Ranger buddy,” Mike.

But if you think the lunacy ended there, you’d be mistaken. Webb finally removed the first two rambling posts overnight, in an apparent attempt to calm the storm and divert attention to his wholly unprofessional behavior. But instead of letting a sleeping bear lie, he proceeded to post yet another 600-word screed filled with wild ramblings, accusations, and innuendo, claiming that the posts were removed due to comments others made!

That’s right, boys and girls! Webb didn’t remove the embarrassing posts. Facebook removed them, because others were making inappropriate comments! Nope, not him at all!

I don’t know if you were searching this morning for the notorious post that has now nominated me as Tab Webb, I was just as confused when I signed on this morning and found our page suspended pending approval for deletion of a the notorious post, not for the content of two tabs you needed a magnifying glass to see, but because of the comments from critics that failed to observe the social media guidelines. “See how dirty you are?”

Now we know why Mike Webb is so desperate to run for Congress .

Now we know why Mike Webb is so desperate to run for Congress .

Move along. Nothing to see here. Webb is innocent. He innocently had thousands of viruses on his computer that apparently prevented him from following FEC regulations. He innocently opened pornographic sites, because he was curious whether the 4000+ viruses could have come from those sites (here’s a clue, dude: your porn habit compromised your system). He innocently posted the open tabs, and everyone else simply assumed he was a porn freak! He’s innocent!

And in addition to all that, according to yet another incoherent missive posted last night, porn is OK. Not for him, mind you, but OK. He doesn’t believe in imposing his faith on others, so he’s OK with you fapping and would never try to use government force to prevent your fappage. Honest.

So, again, as a preacher’s son, my best guess is that that Lord would prefer that we abstain, but we are a country that champions the freedom of the individual to exercise his or her choice.

And, as an aspirant to public office, my “Lord” has to be that rule of law, even if, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

I actually happen to agree with Fappin Mike here. The government has no business sticking its proboscis into your spanking habits. What you do in the privacy of your own home is between you, your family, and your deity of choice, unless that habit somehow violates others’ rights or facilitates harm to others.

But my agreement is quite beside the point here.

This strikes me as the latest red herring in a string that would make the Fallacy Ref cringe.

The problem is not your spanking habits, Webb. The issue is not whether or not you surf porn. Most of us don’t give a crap that you like “sexy amateurs” or “tight booty.” The issue is that you attacked someone you considered a political adversary with a screen cap that unprofessionally left your very private habits on display for the world to see. And I do mean “the world,” judging by the overseas coverage your stupidity has caused. And then, instead of taking responsibility for the screw-up, removing the post quickly, and moving on, you proceeded to make excuses, hurl accusations, blame others, and continued digging the hole, despite it being painfully apparent to anyone reading your incoherent spew that you screwed up. Hard (pun intended).

You keep flogging your alleged “leadership” attributes and honesty. You end nearly every missive with “I am Mike Webb, and I am running for U.S. Congress. Honest.”

You are not honest, and you are not a leader.

An honest man would admit his error, apologize for the lack of professional behavior, and move on.

A leader would not try to blame others or make baseless implications about those whom he considers adversaries, but would take responsibility for his own actions.

An honest man would admit to having foibles.

A leader would learn from his mistakes.

An honest man would be realistic about what his diversions, obfuscations, and ridiculous lies have done to his reputation and political career and would try to fix those, instead of denying, dissimulating, and deceiving people about something that is ultimately just a stupid mistake.

But Mike Webb is none of the above, which is why he continues to ignore the first rule of holes.

Mike Webb: The Fappening

I first heard the name “Mike Webb” when he sent me a friend request on Facebook. I had no idea who this guy was, but we had Rob as a friend in common, so I asked whether he was safe to approve. At that point, Rob told me Mike was a “bit odd,” but a decent guy, and that he was running for the GOP nomination for Virginia’s 8th District to challenge incumbent Don Beyer.

Long story short, I approved the request.

A few weeks later, Rob told me that Webb was completely unhinged. He was sending out rambling, incoherent press releases, invoking his past military service, and spamming those with whom he didn’t agree with incomprehensible emails. Rob, who considered supporting Webb for the nomination, stepped back upon seeing the embarrassing spectacle he was making of himself, and told Webb exactly why he was not supporting him… as only Rob can.

WUT?

WUT?

Well, Webb wasn’t having none of that! Multiple emails, irrational and disjointed missives masquerading as press releases, social media posts, and froth-flecked attempts to call Rob out at local meetings later, and we realized that Webb was unhinged.

In addition to that, he showed up at campaign events wearing Army ACUs, looking much like a drunken hobo! He claims he’s a retired Army Major. He implies he was a Ranger, even though he was a legal clerk in a Ranger battalion. He claims he spent a 20 year career in the military and never deployed. Yeah, I believe that one. (I’ll let others post research on Webb’s alleged military career. Thank you Jonn and TAH.) And yet, Webb appears unaware and unfazed by the fact that it is against regulations for him to campaign in an Army uniform – even if he did remove the patches!

Retirees. Paragraph 30-3 of the above listed regulation gives full details. Army retirees may wear the Army uniform only for the following circumstances:

(1) Personnel performing instructor duties at an educational institution conducting courses of instruction approved by the Armed Forces (such as JROTC).

(2) While attending military funerals, memorial services, weddings, inaugurals, and other occasions of ceremony.

(3) Attending parades on national or state holidays, or other patriotic parades or ceremonies in which any active or reserve United States military unit is taking part.

For (2) and (3), above, only service and dress uniforms may be worn; the BDU and physical fitness uniforms will not be worn.

Wear of the Army uniform at any other time, or for any other purpose than stated above is prohibited.

Luckily this unbalanced nutbar got his ass handed to him at the 8th District convention last week, and his opponent Charles Hernick won the GOP nomination. Webb, then decided that God was somehow calling on him to continue his preposterous campaign, so he is now running for the 8th District Congressional seat as an Independent.

He has about as much chance of winning as my dog’s ass has of becoming a starfish model, but that’s beside the point.

This fappened yesterday.

Webb published a post on his campaign page Monday that included a screenshot of his computer desktop. And as it happened, Webb hadn’t bothered to close his pornography tabs when he took his screengrab.

Ooops!

Check open tabs for areas of concern!

Check open tabs for areas of concern!

A guy who was flogging his Christianity at every turn during what can only loosely be described as his “campaign” took a screen cap of his computer, and revealed his fapping material.

Worse yet, thousands of comments followed, the media picked up the story, including The Daily Caller, Gawker, the Telegraph, and NBC News, and Webb allowed the post to remain all day, as ridicule and consternation were heaped upon him.

In another faptastic follow-up post, Webb claimed he was only testing the porn sites for viruses. No, I’m serious.  In a now-deleted, multi-thousand word, rambling Facebook dispatch, Webb implied that Rob, Charles Hernick, and others were perhaps responsible for a computer virus that apparently kept him from filing his “campaign’s” finance report on time. I’m not sure if he thinks that my husband somehow sent him porn links rife with viruses or what. That part wasn’t clear, and both posts have finally been deleted, only to be replaced by this fapsurd horse fuckery.

Today’s notorious post reached almost 200,000 people. The succeeding post reached a little more than a tenth of that, and all through the viral infection of social media and word of mouth. And, I certainly received my share of “interesting” comments, but no more out of the ordinary than what I have received since beginning this quest. But, the truly amazing thing about today was that “I saw also the Lord, high and lifted up,” and I was very much moved by the love and support of those who expressed their encouragement and support, even some in the national and local press.

This is where the FAPTASTIC non-Ranger implies that he’s grateful for the love and support he’s received. The implication is that he’s thankful for his “buddies” giving him a reality check and keeping him in line. And if by “love and support” he means the numerous accusations of hypocrisy, and endless mockery and ridicule, sure!

The cluelessness is fapalicious! Webb obviously can’t recognize derision and disparagement when he encounters it, although some of the memes posted on his site should be crystal clear. Instead, he pretends the scorn doesn’t exist, and delusionally thanks his “buddies” for the check.

webb3Fapparific!

Not only does Webb use Yahoo! search in Google Chrome, which in and of itself is an unforgivable sin, but he actually believes the publicity for spanking the monkey to tight booty Pr0n while preaching Christian family values is good for his campaign!

One commenter about a half hour ago told me that I needed to hire a new social media director, and others earlier were concluding that the candidate declared DOA in his press debut before Christmas in the local press—six months before a Republican challenger ever gets picked up—today is toast for sure. But, when I read that post about the social media director, we were up 42 likes on Facebook, and I don’t know how many on Twitter. Just now, I looked at Facebook, again, and we are up 75, far outpacing my rival who defeated me with establishment support in the nomination convention.

Now, don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with rubbing one out in the privacy of your own home. It’s none of my business what kind of sites you visit in your spare time, and whether you like fapping to “tight booty” or “sexy amateurs.”

But if you’re going to publicly flog your Christianity, and then come up with some lame excuse about doing “research” to see if porn sites contain viruses… or something vaguely incoherent like that… you’re going to get called on it. Hard (pun fully intended).

And if you do get caught with your paw in the cookie jar, so to speak, at least have the testicular fortitude to admit it!

Marine Arrested in DC; Connected Scum Still Walking Free

Wanna see some double standards? How about this?

A Marine detailed to the office of California GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr. was arrested Tuesday for possession of an unregistered firearm after a loaded .45 caliber handgun was discovered in his vehicle.

Gunnery Sgt. Peter Boby, a congressional fellow in the Corps’ Office of Legislative Affairs, was arrested after being stopped at a security checkpoint near a House office building, according to the U.S. Capitol Police.

Boby was also charged with carrying a pistol without a license and possession of unregistered ammunition. He processed at Capitol Police headquarters.

My educated guess is he made a mistake. He probably simply forgot the firearm was in his vehicle.

Stupid mistake? Yes.

But should his career be ruined, and his future destroyed because of what likely was an unintentional, albeit dumb, error? I’d say no.

And yet, Boby was arrested and charged for what was obviously an inadvertent error, while politically connected media maggot David Gregory faced no consequences whatsoever after quite intentionally bringing a “high capacity” magazine into the District, because apparently that wasn’t in the public interest. I’m sure it had nothing to do with Gregory and his wife’s close relationship with the DC Attorney General.

Frankly, I trust the Marine – a combat veteran and an NCO – with a firearm much more than I trust leeches such as David Gregory with a magazine, let alone with a camera and a microphone, given the amount of damage his biased agenda can cause.
