Russia’s Military Intel Chief is Dead

Submitted without comment, because I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.

MOSCOW – Russia’s Defense Ministry says the head of the military’s main intelligence service, Col.-Gen. Igor Sergun, has died at age 58.

A ministry statement said he died suddenly on Sunday, but gave no further information on the cause of death or where it occurred.

RIP, dude.

  1. Cause: bullet
    Where: back of the head

    That would be my guess.

    1. It’s an older photo and the only one I could copy from my phone for some reason. Most of the news stories have the older photo of him, and I couldn’t copy the one from BBC, OK?

  10. Nicki,
Forgive me if this is a bit off topic, but I am curious as to your take (if any) on this author—

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Suvorov

Having served in the U.S. Army in (the former) West Germany during the mid-70’s, I very much enjoyed reading this book—

I felt more than a few threads of commonality, I guess best summed up by “My God, if the other side knew just how f%%ded up we really are.”

    1. I haven’t read the book, but I also know how fucked up the other side is, so… it’s about equal.
