Using Tragedy To Further Political Goals

Richard Martinez and other parents who have lost children to violence are quick to rage at the NRA and gun owners as the causes for their loss. They’re starting to take on a particularly odious Cindy Sheehan-esque glow, as they do their blood dance on the graves of their children.

My sympathy for them wanes quickly.

  1. I do not understand why these people have to start their blood dance before the victims are even cold. I understand they are grieving. With California being the Brady gold standard for gun control, what one more law would have prevented that tragedy.

  2. Well done, Nicki. I simply CANNOT understand why people think “banning guns” will in ANY way prevent such things from happening. Irrationality? Maybe. Stupidity? Certainly.

  3. As I see the problem most if not all mass killings are committed by democrats. Simple solution, ban democrats. The Twunt who wrote this blather lives in Gun Control Heaven. I’d like to ask her; How is that working out for you?

  4. Those who anti-gun are victims of MSM propaganda and don’t even realize how times guns save lives.

If their children were killed in a car accident then would they be anti-car? More people are killed by people driving cars than people who own a gun.

    1. Well, considering this last asshole killed as many people with his knife as he did with a gun. Yet, no one is talking about that.

  5. Well done Nicki. This is a difficult topic to write about objectively without appearing callous, and they count on that to insulate themselves from criticism. Just as any criticism of Obama is “racism”. While I would never trade places with those grieving parents, they tarnish the memory of their children with such nonsense.
