Dianne Feinstein is once again not wasting any time calling for more gun control.
“When will enough be enough?” Feinstein said in a statement Monday evening.
“Congress must stop shirking its responsibility and resume a thoughtful debate on gun violence in this country,” she said. “We must do more to stop this endless loss of life.”
“I mourn those killed today at the Navy Yard in Washington and send my thoughts and prayers to those families grieving the loss of loved ones,” Feinstein said.
“There are reports the killer was armed with an AR-15, a shotgun and a semiautomatic pistol when he stormed an American military installation in the nation’s capital and took at least 12 innocent lives,” she said.
Yes, she mourns the loss of life so hard, she’s renewing her calls for more stringent gun control in a city where gun ownership is practically nonexistent thanks to onerous gun control laws that do nothing but disarm the potential victims, and in an area that bans the carry of personal firearms on its property – as all military installations do.
As a personal aside to the conspiritards out there – no, people don’t just carry guns on military installations, even if they’re in the military, unless carry is part of their regular job (such as an MP or contract security), and no intelligence community members do not have guns when they transport classified documents. So if any of you morons out there continue to perpetuate these claims, just know you’re wrong.
She’s so upset about the loss of life, that she can’t even wait until the source of the firearms suspect Aaron Alexis used to kill a dozen people is determined. She can’t wait until we find out whether he legally or illegally obtained said firearms, and she can’t wait to legislatively punish those who did not commit this heinous crime.
And of course, she can’t wait to talk about the “storming” of a military installation, failing to mention that he was legally there, with a legal CAC card, and had just had his clearance renewed despite two prior arrests for violent crimes, including the illegal discharge of a weapon in Texas.
Because in her zeal to push through her irrelevant, unnecessary and statist agenda, only the guns matter.
And she cannot allow an opportunity to pass by without pushing her onerous plans.
