Obama uses radio address to push anti-gun oppression…

So, Dear Leader used his weekly radio address to push abrogration of our Second Amendment-protected civil rights. He wants an ‘assault weapons’ (whatever that means) ban, a limit on magazine size, and of course, a national background check system. Yes, the same bill that the odious Jim Moran and the tools of Mayors Against Illegal Guns (talk about a misnomer!) pushed at the recent ‘gun violence forum’ here in Arlington.

“These ideas shouldn’t be controversial — they’re common sense,” Obama said. “They’re supported by a majority of the American people. And I urge the Senate and the House to give each of them a vote.”…  “Right now, we have a real chance to reduce gun violence in America, and prevent the very worst violence,” he said. “We have a unique opportunity to reaffirm our tradition of responsible gun ownership, and also do more to keep guns out of the hands of criminals or people with a severe mental illness. We’ve made progress over the last three months, but we’re not there yet. And in the weeks ahead, I hope members of Congress will join me in finishing the job — for our communities and, most importantly, for our kids.”

He keeps pointing out polls, as if a majority of uninformed citizens being in favor of such abrogation makes it right or lawful. Newsflash, Zero, these are the kinds of laws we, those who actually value our rights don’t plan to comply with. That’s why we have a Constitutional republic. It’s a check on unbridled majorities seeking to do harm to or oppress minorities. The left, and most ‘moderate’ sheep, seem not to grasp this concept (to be fair, neither do the religious ‘conservatives’ on the right) and think that 50% + 1 is a mandate to shred the Constitution. I can’t stress enough how terrifying that is. These people will not be stopped until the American people become educated on these issues, their agenda is exposed, and it’s made plain that gun owners will directly resist, unfortunately. Sack up, people. It may get ugly.

  1. It’s ALREADY pretty ugly, Nicki. It doesn’t seem even remotely “pretty” to me. Particularly not when there are LEOs who PLAN to assist in the left’s disarmament schemes.

  4. Uninformed? Deliberately made stupid, you mean. They think we’re a Democracy, not a Constitutional Republic. Look up the Frankfurt School, Gramsci, Rudi Dutschke – the “long march through the institutions” – that’s a good start.

A good idea is to start teaching people. Here: http://oll.libertyfund.org/
Start them on Bastiat’s “The Law” and English history and make sure they get the 1100 Charter and the Magna Carta – What they are and why they were written. Then, if you think they have the ability to understand and comprehend, hit them with Locke.

People think rights are given to them by the government. They have to understand that rights are inherent, and cannot be removed. They can be violated, but not removed. So many people don’t even understand the basic Rights, the root from where all others come, or why they are and must be inherent. Life, Liberty, Property. So many think Liberty is Freedom – but it isn’t. It is freedom bound by the constraints of everyone Else’s rights. The fact that people do not understand the basic roots of our law, and in fact any moral law, is why we have idiotic decisions from courts and so-called learned people who know jack about the real intent and reason for law.

And yes, the Christian Right is just as bad. They want a Theocracy lite – where sin is illegal. I submit that they do not know their own God. God gave man free will. It is up to man to choose good from evil. If you remove that choice you prevent man from rejecting temptation on his own. Who are they to interfere with that? Love the sinner, hate the sin – do we show love to the sinner if we jail them for sin, or if we counsel them against further sin? So long as they do not interfere with the life, liberty and property of their fellow man leave them alone! How about those who do not believe in God, or believe in a different God? Freedom of religion springs from Liberty. Leave them alone too. The only caveat to that is Shariah – totally incompatible with freedom, and totally wrong.

Sure it won’t be fast and it may not help right now, but if people keep coming out of schools brainwashed with idiocy, we’re sunk. They own the media, and people have been taught by animal training methods – Stimulus Response – instead of by proper methods that engage the intellect.

For over 100 years the system has been subverted from the inside and out, picking up a HUGE push in the 60’s and now those people who have been indoctrinated in collectivist ideas are in positions of power in government, media and schools. All the money that’s spent on “education” – Bull. It’s spent on brainwashing. Education is simple and cheap. People in the founders time were more literate and better read than 90% of the college graduates of today without a department of education.

To undo and repair the damage we must understand what has been done and by who. Sadly, we may have no way out of this mess without blood. I pray we have time to fix it.

Read these three posts over at Kevin’s, they’re worth the time.

Yep…they’re common sense..if you are smoking the hooka, and spiraling down the rabbit hole high on the collectivist kool-aid. Take a look at all that has been going on during Obama’s watch, and you will realize that the term ‘common sense’ should not even be coming from that guys lips. It is almost surreal.

  6. Consider:

If, indeed, the overwhelming majority of Americans are all demanding stricter gun-control measures, and ti=his is obvious and just common-sense *cough*, then why oh why did Harry Reid shoo down Feinstein?

I mean, this should be an easy slam dunk for the Democrats, right? According to them, they have the majority in their favor. So….bring it. Put Feinstein’s gun control proposal onto the Senate floor, Reid. You supposedly have the majority. This should be a no-brainer.

What? Oh. You fear losing your career job as a statist Democrat more than you care about this “majority”? I thought so.

You will never, never, EVER get our guns, Senator. Not you, not Obama, not Feinstein, none of you. Concentrate on your golf game, Barry.
