So It Starts… Injured Army Vet is First Victim of New York’s Abominable Gun Law

An Army veteran was arrested in Watertown for possession of AR-15 magazines.

Nathan H. Haddad, 32, of 25240 Waddingham Road, town of LeRay, faces five felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was released without bail before town of Watertown Justice Andrew N. Capone, and is ordered to appear Wednesday in town of LeRay Court.

Deputies made the arrest shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Steinhilber Road in the town of LeRay, where Mr. Haddad is accused of possessing five 30-round AR-15 magazines of ammunition. He is cited under a state penal law statute that prohibits possession of “a large capacity ammunition feeding device.”

An injured Army vet, who until now has never been arrested. Involved with his church. Volunteers with the Boy Scouts. All this according to someone who knows him.

And yet, unlike media maggot David Gregory, this military veteran will be treated like nothing but a common criminal for mere possession of some magazines.

Is this the type of person you want to make in to a criminal, Gov. Cuomo?

Is this whom you were hoping to snag in your little unconstitutional dragnet?

Is this the man from whom you want to make an example? Is he whom you want to vilify? Does he pose a danger to the public?

The obvious answer here is “NO!” But that doesn’t seem to matter to the tyrannical politicians in New York, who only care about pretending to do “something” about the problem in order to get themselves re-elected.

A group of more than 1000 current and former Special Forces group penned a public letter opposing the kind of gun control gun grabbers have been using Gabrielle Giffords to promote.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. You should really read the entire thing from these firearms experts.

They are not politicians. They do not have an agenda.

They are fathers, brothers, Soldiers, family men, Americans and patriots.

They have repeatedly put their money where their mouths are when it comes to defending this nation and the very Constitution the left is trying to decimate.

And I couldn’t have said it better myself.

This is our country, these are our rights. We believe that it is time that we take personal responsibility for our choices and actions rather than abdicate that responsibility to someone else under the illusion that we have done something that will make us all safer. We have a responsibility to stand by our principles and act in accordance with them. Our children are watching and they will follow the example we set.

Thank you, gentlemen. Thank you for your service, your expertise, your dedication to our rights and your commitment to the founding principles of this nation!

Just thank you!

Weapons Grade Stupid

This Ain’t Hell brings us the fat, salivating, weapons-grade stupid of one Phillip Mark Thompson. He’s apparently an Army SEAL… or something. And he’s using his talent for embellishment makeshituppery to attract gullible women on a dating site.

You guys can go to the TAH link I provided above and read all about this giant bag of douche, as well as take a gander at his oh-so-impressive DD214, which includes oh-so-impressive places he’s served, such as JALALBAD, AFGHANISTAN and TAKRIT, IRAQ.

As for the ladies on the POF website, here’s a couple of clues for you:

  1. There’s no such thing as an Army SEAL.
  2. There’s no such thing as a SEAL this fat, unless you’re at Sea World, and even there I think they keep them on a stricter diet than this shitbag is apparently following.
  3. “Athletic body type” doesn’t include four chins.

Thanks for the laughs, TAH!

Gabrielle Giffords testified at the Senate hearing on gun violence today. Sitting next to husband Mark Kelly, she encouraged legislators to act.

Be bold. Be courageous,” Giffords testified Wednesday in her first formal remarks on Capitol Hill since a shooting that nearly killed her two years ago. “Americans are counting on you.”

OK, I will be the first to say it. I may not be the first to think it, but I’ll be the one. I won’t walk on eggshells around the former Congresswoman. I refuse to bow to her victimhood. And I refuse to become a victim myself – to give up my fundamental rights – just to appease her irrational desires by virtue of exploitation of tragedy.

I’m tired of it.

I’ve said it before. People who exploit others’ tragedies are nothing but opportunistic swine not worth considering. Piers Morgan, Jerrold Nadler, Biden, Feinstein, and every last one of these scheming shitbags who use others’ misfortune to push their political agenda – they are barely human.

But whereas I felt sympathy and ached along with Giffords, her husband and every lost life and lost love of every shooting, I’m now beginning to feel nothing but disdain.

There. I said it.

We all know someone who has suffered needlessly. We all know victims of crime, violence, assault… I’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t seen death or pain, either themselves or in others. I know sexual assault. I know it personally. Carma Jackson, the Executive Director of Armed Females of America, suffered unimaginable tragedy when she lost her little boy to gun violence. Angel Shamaya – the founder of lost his only brother to suicide.

And yet, we are defending rights, not trying to destroy them. We are fighting to protect rights, not using the tragedy in our lives to deprive others of them.

So no, I’m not going to gently criticize Giffords and her husband, while quietly remembering that she is a victim – that she was shot – that she was hurt. I’m not going to treat her with kid gloves. I’m not treating anyone gently. I understand tragedy, and I understand pain.  I’ve lived through them. And I refuse to allow tragedy and pain to define me as a petty tyrant who would advocate destroying the fundamental rights of everyone around me just to make myself feel better about what happened.

Make no mistake – the laws that Giffords and those around her advocate will do nothing to stop mass slaughter. They will do nothing to prevent criminals from getting guns. They will do nothing to stop evil.

What they will do is transform a fundamental right into a nanny state-granted privilege.

What they will do is invalidate the principle of private property.

And I refuse to stand by and gently, kindly stroke little Gabby Giffords’ fears and ego, because she was a victim.

She and those around her are using unimaginable trauma and tragedy as weapons against the rest of us – tools against the law-abiding, peaceable citizens of this nation – and we’re not supposed to fight back because she was hurt?

That’s not going to happen.

I hurt for every victim. I know fear and agony. I feel it. I understand it.

But I refuse to be beaten over the head with it. I refuse to feel guilt, because I treasure my rights, while others use their pain to bludgeon me and relieve me of my rights.

So I’m done feeling sorry for Giffords. She’s exploiting her tragedy and using her pain to destroy the foundations of this country.

There is no excuse for that.

UPDATE: So I was driving to work this morning, and I heard on the radio how Gabby Giffords is being “exploited” by the anti gunners and by her own husband to promote a political cause. Her testimony was exploited. Her dramatic words were exploited, because they came out of a woman who has overcome tremendous odds after being shot by a lunatic. The politicians are exploiting her.

Sorry, but I don’t buy it.  Yes, she is the victim of a tragedy, but this didn’t make her stupid or naive. She didn’t come to Washington to promote an assault weapons ban that has no way of passing for a weapon that wasn’t even used in the shooting against her. She came out here to promote “universal” background checks, which is a de facto registration scheme for all gun owners in this country, and has no way of stopping actual shootings. She is injured, but she’s not dumb. She is allowing herself to be exploited by the gun ban crowd, because if you don’t walk on eggshells around Gabby Giffords and bow down to her injuries, you are a mean, heartless person who wants more dead children and injured female Congresscritters. If you don’t worship the victim, you’re obviously heartless. That’s why Gabby Giffords is out here, pleading dramatically for more regulations – not because she actually thinks the new regulations will do anything, but because she, her husband, her handlers and the politicians they support believe that using those injuries will make way for more control, which has been their mission all along, as fully acknowledged by Dianne Feinstein after the Sandy Hook massacre.

There was some conversation about re-introducing the ban around the time of the Aurora shooting, too. “There will be a bill. We’ve been working on it now for a year,” Feinstein said. “We’ve tried to take my bill from ’94 to 2004 and perfect it. We believe we have.

More penis jokes could be coming soon

Disgraced former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner could be stepping back into politics.

According to the New York Post, Weiner is testing the waters for a possible run for New York City comptroller.

According to sources, pollsters have been making calls and feeling out Weiner’s chances.

Yes, I’m immature. What’s your point?
